Description

i received a phone call - the caller ID displayed as 1-800- 922-0204 Verizon Support. The person on the phone informed me that my account was compromised and that someone had tried to purchase a new iphone through my account. These scammers were able to use Verizon’s Caller ID as well as Verizon’s Email ID - they were able to send me an email with a copy of my Verizon bill attached. They breached Verizons security and had all my personal payment history, account information, address, etc. They claimed my account had been compromised and that my autopayment didnt go through because my account was put on hold and i would need to pay using another payment method. Due to these scammers ability to breach Verizon’s sub-par security – I am out $336.41 and my personal information was stolen. When i called Verizon to report this - they recommended i change my passwords???????? Obviously these scammers are sophistocated and were able to breach your platform, gain access to my account - they knew all my account information. Verizon has taken no responsibility. They offered no recompence and havent even had the courtesy to answer my letters. I am sure there are other victims of this scam.
