Text message from 217 number stated "Thanks for purchase $612.39 has been charged on your card for MTG Aurora 4C Gaming Tower PC..........Not You? call us: +18888529961." Called 888 number, person answered said it was Amazon. Informed him about text message. He asked me to download a remote server to connect with his supervisor so his supervisor can walk me through how to prevent this from happening again. Luckily I recognized "remote server" and stopped the call right there. He went on to inform me, that resolving the missing funds through my bank would not work, as this was an Amazon issue. When hung up call with scammer, looked at bank statement, and nothing was charged.
