I believe I may be a victim of fraud from someone claiming to be a hiring manager within the Maven organization. A Retrina Miller. I got a text message last week from a Tara Silverman. This scam consists of a phone interview using a messaging app called telegram. From the app, they conducted basic interview questions. They explained that it was a remote job and that they would send a check in an email in order for a new employee to buy office equipment with a fake check they sent with intention of obtaining personal banking information. I bring this to your attention, so that another person may be saved from this scam. I have attached screenshots to better help an investigation into this scam. Including the fake emails used.
