Description

I received a letter on the mail claiming I have to pay 3.2k for two separate services in a single month. I called today and talked to "David P. " who refused multiple times to provide his last name as I was asking to check the veracity of the business. For customer service, the background noise and professionalism was sketchy. According to David P., they are charging for "professional component payments that the hospital doesn't provide" from Dr. Danielle Kommel and Dr. Adam Lewis who are ER doctors at SGHS in St Mary's, GA. Before calling, I went directly to the hospital for in person assistance. I also called my insurance multiple times and, they state I have no pending payments open. The bill letter is questionable it is addressed and asking payment from a minor, looks like scam, has two different mailing addresses (PO BOX 11349 DAYTONA BEACH, FL 32120-1349 & PO BOX 23419 JACKSONVILLE FL, 32241-4419), and they provided me with more three different phone numbers for "customer service support". I've been using my insurance for more than 15 years and this is the first time this happens. How i it possible that the doctors that work at the hospital where the child was seen, didn't get the insurance info provided which already covered for everything else right away?
