I encountered an advertisement marketing an application called "Lotto Prophet," which claimed to use artificial intelligence (AI) to predict winning lottery numbers. Based on these fraudulent claims, I agreed to an initial purchase of $97.00. However, the merchant used deceptive billing tricks to hit my credit card with two massive, unauthorized additional charges of $267.00 and $147.00 under the billing name "Settle." I never authorized these extra charges. This entire operation is a misrepresentation. The fine print on the official app distribution pages admits that the product is "strictly for entertainment" and that the lottery is a game of chance. The operators use deceptive social media ads, hidden upsells, and a toll-free number (1-800-971-4492) to siphon money from victims under the guise of an AI lottery breakthrough. I have temporarily locked my credit card to block further theft while I am away. As soon as I return home from vacation, I will permanently close the card and file a formal chargeback dispute with my bank for all three charges ($97, $267, and $147).
