Description

Cap1 Finance contacted me claiming that I was approved for a loan of $5000. After talking with the agent who called himself Mike Cooper for a few minutes I told him I really wanted to borrow $15,000. I suspected that this was a scam so I increase my loan amount just to see what he would say. Next a loan specialist came on the line and verified my information that they had pulled from somewhere online. I had been trying to acquire a personal loan. So I have no idea where they got all of my information from. They had my name, address, social security number, date of birth, bank name and the last four digits of my bank account. They sent me an agreement by email to sign (LOAN AGREEMENT PROMISSORY LEGAL NOTE). I was looking for a loan and they said all the things asking all the typical questions most loan companies would including what your credit score is, what is your income, do you have any other loans, etc. They said that they would make a small deposit into my checking account in the amount of $400 or $500 . Once the deposit was made to prove that I could pay them back, I would need to send them the same amount back. After they received the deposit back, within 24 hours the $15,000 would be delivered into my account. I did not fill out any information so that they could deposit this money into my account. I hung up and blocked the phone number that he called from which was 402-282-1753. This legal loan agreement/promissory note had the following information at the end of the document: FUNDING OFFICER: David Smith BATCH ID: CAAUSA31378611 FUNDING MANAGER: William Hall LENDER: CAP 1 FINANCE
