Scammers are posting apartments for rent on FB marketplace. Once you look at the pictures they send you a message stating the property is available. Ce they call you via WhatsApp they say that you need to make a deposit for a viewing of the apartment. They also say that the money will be returned after the viewing. They just want to make sure you show up for the visit. Once I did the transaction for 150.00 dollars a “lawyer” called me stating that he will show me the apartment and if I wanted the apartment I needed to send him 350.00$ more to assured me the property. At that point I figured that was a scam. I did not continue with anymore transactions. However, I’ve seen many properties on FB marketplace and automatically a message from the broker shows up saying that if you have questions just send your name and number so they can call you. It happened to me and it must be happening to hundreds or thousands of people.
