BBB Complaint Against Long Wheels LLC Order Number: 25165134 On June 30, 2026, I contracted with Long Wheels LLC to arrange transportation of my 2014 Ram 3500 dually from Rockwell, North Carolina, to Clarksville, Indiana. The agreed transportation price stated in my order was $750, and I paid a $100 deposit to Long Wheels LLC through Zelle. Before I paid the deposit, I was led to believe that transportation would be arranged promptly and that pickup would occur within the timeframe discussed. Based on those representations, I chose Long Wheels LLC and stopped pursuing other transportation options. After my deposit was collected, communication became inconsistent. I repeatedly requested updates regarding pickup and driver information. I was repeatedly told that I would receive updates shortly, but those updates were delayed or not provided. When I was eventually put in contact with the individual who was supposed to transport my vehicle, I received multiple and inconsistent explanations regarding why the transport could not proceed as expected. Initially, I was told there were problems with a trailer axle. Later, I was told there were issues with the truck itself. I was also informed that pickup would be delayed until Monday because of equipment problems and the holiday weekend. These changing explanations caused me to lose confidence in the accuracy and reliability of the information being provided. At no point was my vehicle picked up. No bill of lading was issued. No carrier company information, USDOT number, or MC number was provided to me. No driver was dispatched to my location. The situation became even more concerning when I was informed that the transportation would now cost approximately $1,300 rather than the $750 price stated in my order. This represented a substantial increase over the original agreed price. After already experiencing delays and changing explanations regarding the driver's ability to perform the transport, I felt pressured to pay hundreds of dollars more than the amount I originally agreed to in order to receive the service. I understand that transportation dates can be estimates and that unforeseen delays sometimes occur in the auto transport industry. However, my complaint is not simply about a delay. My complaint is that I paid a deposit based on representations regarding transportation availability and pricing, only to experience repeated delays, inconsistent explanations regarding equipment problems, a significant increase in the quoted transportation cost, and ultimately no transportation service being performed. After learning of the delays, the conflicting explanations regarding the driver's equipment, and the substantial increase in price, I requested cancellation of the order and a refund of my $100 deposit so that I could pursue alternative transportation arrangements. Long Wheels LLC refused to refund the deposit. As of the filing of this complaint: My vehicle has never been picked up. No transportation service has been performed. No bill of lading has been issued. No carrier company information has been provided. I was given conflicting explanations regarding trailer and truck mechanical issues. I was later told the transportation would cost approximately $1,300 instead of the $750 agreed price. I requested cancellation and a refund. Long Wheels LLC refused to return my deposit. I have retained copies of the signed agreement, payment records, text messages, and communications supporting these facts and am prepared to provide them upon request. Desired Resolution: Written confirmation that Order #25165134 has been canceled and closed with no further obligation. Review of Long Wheels LLC's business practices regarding customer deposits, communication, pricing changes after deposits are collected, and representations made to customers before accepting payment.
