Description
I discovered an unauthorized charge on my credit card statement listed as “ALGOTELS Hotels” for approximately $90, dated May 16, 2025. I did not make any hotel reservation through this company and did not receive any confirmation email, booking number, or travel details associated with this transaction. When attempting to contact the company, their phone system required a reservation number in order to proceed, which I do not have. This prevented me from reaching a live representative or obtaining any information about the charge. As a result, I was unable to verify the booking, identify the hotel, or determine how my payment information was used. The charge appears to be associated with an online travel booking intermediary that lacks transparency and makes it difficult for individuals to investigate or dispute transactions without prior booking information. Consumers should be cautious when entering payment information on unfamiliar travel deal websites, as charges may appear without clear documentation or accessible customer support.
