I saw an ad on Facebook for a 3X collagen product for dogs that supposedly has helped other pet owners with their dog's skin issues. I have a dog who has been battling skin issues for years. I went to shophealthypetz.com and at first it seemed okay; lots of reviews, a vet listed, decent price so I ordered the product. I was first skeptical when the tracking on the product wasn't through a usual shipper like UPS or USPS or FedEx, only through their website, and the tracking info was very vague. It also took much longer than expected to get here from the date I ordered it on 1/25/2026. During that time, I tried contacting the company for more details like where my order was, and the address of their business since their website does not list any address at all. I never received a reply. I did cancel any future products from being charged or sent. When I received the product, it arrived via USPS Priority Mail, but the address on it was not Healthy Petz; it was a Kelly Chen, 1480 Howard St, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007. That was another giant red flag for me. The package also said "Whitening Serum" on the label. I started looking into this product and company more. There is NO verification you can get for the "vet" that is their support; she is only listed as "Dr. Rodriguez" and a "Doctor of Veterinary Medicine". I googled the address that the product came from and saw at least 3 more scam reports linked to that same address. I emailed the company asking for more information on their company, the vet they refer to and any certifications around the product to verify what is in that bottle. They only reiterated what is on their website and offered no other information. I then asked for a refund as I will NOT be giving this very questionable product to my dog. They said they would be happy to give me a refund but I would need to pay to ship the product back. HOWEVER, their return/refund policy online at their website (https://www.shophealthypetz.com/policies/refund-policy) states on item #2 “No Returns Required or Accepted. We do not require you to send the product back. Once your refund is approved, you may keep or dispose of any remaining product. We do not accept returned shipments. Any products send back to us will not be process and cannot be refunded.” This is a complete scam dressed up to look like a legit product. It is dangerous to be giving something so scammy to pets. I tried filing a dispute with my bank with all of this information, but they would not help me since it was not a 'fraudulent' charge, even though the company is a scam and not safe for pets. Now, Healthy Petz has doubled down on their scam and added "more vets" to their product page like a "Dr. Katherine Mercer, DVM of Whitmore Animal Hospital". I tried googling the doctor and the vet and no such doctor or vet clinic exists, except for a fake Facebook page for "Whitmore Animal Hospital". They say "try it risk free" but good luck getting your money back, and if it causes more problems for your dog than when you started! So I am out $27.98 and the product is still being sold to other people. At the least, I hope I can help other pet owners NOT be scammed by this company!
