I am filing this complaint against Chatly for deceptive business practices and misleading advertising. On January 22 2026, while searching for the official Google Gemini AI tool, I encountered a search advertisement that closely mimicked the branding and appearance of Gemini. Based on this misrepresentation, I was led to believe I was subscribing to a legitimate Google service. Upon completing the transaction, I realized that the service was not Gemini but an unaffiliated third-party app called "Chatly." The advertisement was intentionally designed to confuse consumers. Furthermore, I discovered that I had been charged 90.00 on my Canadian Tire credit card without a clear breakdown of the subscription terms. I immediately reached out to the company to request a full refund and cancellation, but they have failed to provide a satisfactory resolution. This company is using the reputation of established AI brands to bait users into unwanted paid subscriptions. Desired Resolution: I am requesting a full refund of all charges to my credit card and the permanent cancellation of any active subscriptions associated with my account.
