I reached out to someone on Instagram for a tattoo service. They were having a promotion where they asked for $250 as a deposit for the appointment. They told me to send the deposit to a number through ApplePay. I sent it and they sent me a confirmation through email. The amount I paid wasn’t the amount on the receipt and the address on the receipt was for an apartment complex. I follow up with him on Instagram and he says my appointment is good. My appointment was supposed to be Jan 26th 2026. After about two weeks, I start seeing videos on tiktok about how he scams people out of their deposits for tattoos. I do my own research and find out that he has about 18K followers but no engagement to match on his posts and that he stole mists of his post from another tattoo artist. Even the name he uses is stolen from a tattoo artist that’s DEAD. I have proof of it all. I confront him about the posts discrediting him and he says it was a fake page impersonating him. I also messaged the artist he was stealing posts from and he said I’m one of SEVERAL people that have notified him about this scam. Then a few hours late, he blocked me on Instagram and the number I sent the money to was lied to as well about this scam
