Description

Lincoln Leadership Advisors LLC posted a job on Zip Recruiter for a data entry position: https://www.ziprecruiter.com/c/Lincoln-Leadership-Advisors-LLC/Job/DATA-ENTRY-CLERK/-in-Houston,TX?jid=b494578dec32f75b My wife applied and was contacted by Lincoln Leadership Advisors LLC to complete a structured online interview conducted through Microsoft Forms. After completing the online interview (text-based only), my wife was contacted by Francisco Galindo ([email protected]) who said he was a member of Lincoln Leadership Adivsor's team. Francisco told my wife she was being offered the job position without anyone from Lincoln Leadership meeting her on a video conferencing call. Part of the job offer said Lincoln Leadership Advisors would send us a check and then we would have to pay for her remote computer equipment through their approved vendor. This is the sign of a classic scam where the check later bounces and then we lose the money. My wife emailed the company through their website (https://lincolnleaders.com) to ask if the job position was legitimate in the first place and to confirm if Francisco was even a member of their team. Another employee, Aura Stella Cendales ([email protected]) responded the next morning saying that the job posting was legitimate, that Francisco was a member of their team, and that everything we had been told was part of their standard hiring process, which is a huge red flag. When my wife asked Francisco and Aura to provide information about (a) who the payroll provider is, (b) who my wife would be reporting to (and if she could meet them before accepting the job offer), (c) what their Texas business registration number and EIN is, (d) what was their formal benefits summary, and (e) why they were requiring us to pay for her equipment through a vendor (which is a common scam), they immediately stopped responding, and we never heard back from them.
