Description
On 1/9/26, my wife and I were looking for a bumper for our Jeep and found a seller with a storefront on Facebook Marketplace, "Jeep Parts and Accessories", which appeared to have a veri?ed seller checkmark. They offered us some choices and we found the one we needed for $350. They requested a cash payment via ApplePay to a phone number, 215-487-8327, and I made the payment, which depleted my $88.54 Apple Cash balance plus $261.46 from my BofA debit card. After that, they reported the item shipped and arriving in a day or so. A few days later the item had not arrived so we contacted them and learned that the shipping company, "Freight Forwarding Pro", had sent an email which was in my spam folder. The email requested a payment of $151 for insurance, of which 96% would be refunded after delivery. This was my ?rst clue this was a scam. Although the shipper has a website, upon researching their address and the KY SoS list of businesses, I found no evidence of an actual entity. In questioning the Jeep parts seller via FB Messenger and requesting a refund, they ghosted us. I have screenshots and a screen recording of the Messenger conversation.
