Description
Zach Sobek pretended to be a licensed contractor. He quoted us to install 4-bathroom exhaust fans in 4 of our rentals. We were sent photos showing the completed work by Zach. Upon inspection by our property manager, we discovered that the photos we were sent were doctored and the work was not completed. The 2 fans that were installed were not wired correctly and required an electrician to fix the work. Also, the drywall appeared fixed in the photo only to find out that it was left puttied, unfinished and unpainted - despite the photo showing it being completed. 2 of our units didn't even have the fans installed, while one of the invoices indicated and additional $250 to run a ground wire...for a fan that wasn't even installed! Zach left behind scrap drywall in our yard and wouldn't go pick it up forcing us to pay someone else to haul away the trash. He made up stories about his brother dying as to why work wasn't getting done. Upon deeper investigation of his name, we discovered he was recently charged for theft and methamphetamine.
