Description
I received a document from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services c/o CGS Administrators, LLC , PO Box 20010, Nashville, TN 37202-0010 stating that while it was not a bill, I may be billed $15,750.00 for a total of 7 catheters that weren't approved by Medicare. One catheter per month from April 2025- October 2025. The supplier making the claim, Centennial Med Supply LLC, lists Michael E Steele as the person who ordered them. The claim number provided is #25345700470000. Interestingly enough, the company acknowledges that I didn't have Medicare Part A (B) during that period. Where they have erred is that not only have I never needed or ordered any catheters, but I was fully employed during the majority of that time period, and thus fully insured by my employer's group health plan through the end of September 2025... which is why I had Medicare Part A but had not yet obtained Medicare Part B. Furthermore, the document states that if I want to appeal this non-bill, I can only do so in writing. They provide a form which would require me to provide further personally identifiable information. I refuse to do so. While there are red flags available for the supplier, I plan to also report CGS Administrators, LLC based here in Nashville. I believe they are part of the scam. Although they claim to be representing Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, they didn't use their (CMS) seal/trademark or even their (CGS) own trademark. They used a nearly identical representation of HHS's seal, I suppose to give it that stamp of government-approved officiality.
