Description

They called to tell me they were a debt collector and that I owed money. They knew my entire legal name and my birthdate. They asked for my address and I told them I wouldn't give them personal information without written communication. The first account they said I owed was with a hospital I had literally just paid last week and have a zero balance. Then they asked about several other medical care facilities which I have never attended. I told them that I would not talk to them and that any business/medical center who had assigned them to be the debt collector would have to speak to me directly. I told them that obviously they already had my name and date of birth as well as my phone number, so that information either came from their accounts or can be given to them to contact me. I did give them my email address to require information; that may have been a stupid mistake. Others in the BBB Scam Report have said they have called multiple times. This was my first experience.
