Description
placed an online order with Umbrella Labs and paid via Plaid (ACH). The package was delivered with USPS tracking; however, one item I paid for was missing from the shipment. The missing item was also the most expensive item in the order, valued at $125.99. All other items received were significantly cheaper. I contacted Umbrella Labs multiple times over the course of more than a month, providing my order number and clearly explaining that an item was missing. I requested either a refund or a replacement. I never received any response, acknowledgment, or resolution. Because the payment was made via ACH, my bank advised that dispute options were limited, leaving me with no effective recourse when the merchant refused to respond. After this experience, I reviewed Trustpilot and found numerous similar complaints reported in December, describing missing items and complete lack of customer support. Seeing multiple recent reports of the same issue suggests a pattern of unresolved partial deliveries and non-response. USPS tracking only confirms delivery of a package, not the contents, yet the company appears to rely on delivery confirmation while ignoring customers when items are missing. Based on my experience and the number of similar recent complaints, this situation feels deceptive and highly concerning, and I believe others should be warned. Outcome: No refund. No replacement. No response from the company. Advice to others: Avoid ACH/Plaid payments, document everything, and proceed with extreme caution when ordering from this business.
