I am submitting this complaint to warn other consumers about what appears to be a fraudulent online merchant operation. I made a small purchase (approximately $29.99) from a website operating under the name Baby’s Mall, which advertised children’s toys. Shortly after the purchase, I noticed that the charge on my bank account did not reflect the merchant name Baby’s Mall, but instead appeared as “Whiskers and Paws Pet.” Within a very short period of time, I then noticed multiple additional unauthorized charges on my account in significantly larger amounts that I did not make or approve. I attempted to contact the merchant using the phone number and contact information provided on the Baby’s Mall website, but the phone number was disconnected and I received no response through other contact methods. At that point, I contacted my bank and disputed all unauthorized charges. Based on this experience, it appears that the initial low-dollar purchase may have been used to obtain payment information, which was then used for fraudulent transactions under a different business name. I am sharing this experience to warn others to exercise extreme caution, closely monitor their bank statements after any purchase, and avoid doing business with this company or any affiliated names.
