I searched online to find a puppy for my granddaughter and came across Hernandez Cocker Spaniel (seller). I live in Georgia, and the company states its based in New York. On December 12, 2025, I emailed the seller regarding the puppy. On December 13, 2025, the seller texted me and I entered into a contract to buy the puppy ($600) and have it delivered ($200 flight fee) to Georgia. The contract stated a crate deposit was required but didn't state the amount. On December 13, 2025, I received a call from someone from someone stating they worked at Air Pet Travels--a pet logistics company. They stated they charged a "refundable" crate deposit of $2000.00. I provided the payment via Zelle $1000.00) and Apple Pay ($1000). On December 15, 2025, a representative from Air Pet Travels texted me and stated they needed a "refundable" ownership transfer fee of $2999.00. I offered to pay the fee via PayPal, but Air Pet Travels refused. I asked to cancel the order.
