This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I filled out an online form on powellandsons.com to inquire about gutter cleaning and as soon as I submitted it, I got contacted by 3 different venders that wanted to sell me gutters. The first person that called me hung up on me when they found out I only wanted my gutters cleaned. I then got a call from ******** ********* asking me if I wanted new gutters. Then I got a text from Scott from **** ******. It is possible that Powell and Sons don't even know their information is being skimmed but felt as though I should report this.
