Description

I ordered a nice-looking -- on the photo -- clothing item for which I paid $67 including shipping from a site called "Shopise." (This was allegedly a Black Friday deal too. The regular price was higher.) I received a very cheap-looking item. I tracked the item I received online using the label description on the package (this was not on the seller's website, and it read: "Hugcitar Women Fashion Square Collar Patchwork Lace Long Sleeve Sexy Crop T-Shirt"; the seller's description was "The Analisa Lace Long Sleeve Top") and sure enough, I found the item elsewhere, on a site called "Aliexpress," for $10: https://rb.gy/ko2f9z I reached out to the merchant to say I'd like to return the item for a refund. At first, they responded within a few minutes and sent me a link to their returns policy, which does not include a refund option. I emailed them back and explained the situation, sending pictures of the website where the allegedly expensive-looking item they sold me is available for $10. They then became unresponsive and moreover, appear to have quickly removed the item from their website. If I go to the order confirmation email I originally received from them and click the "Buy Again" option, I now get a 404 error. I am attaching a photo of the item from the confirmation email. While this may not be *exactly* a scam, it is basically a scam. Shopise is trying to pass cheap Chinese clothing items for much more expensive ones and to sell them at 6 times the actual price with the help of misleading photos. Their policy does not include a refund option. Importantly, it is also impossible to leave a review of the website online, to warn other potential customers.
