Description
On November 18th, I purchased a CivixCam 64GB when a website that I believed was CivixCam themselves. I paid via debit card from American Express. On November 24th, I contacted customer support to ask if I can return the product and get a shipping label for when the package arrived. I made clear that I did not want to open the package, and send it back in the exact state it arrived in. I was declined this. Instead, I got told to take pictures of the packaging unopened, and the boxes of the cameras sealed. I was told they would arrive in a box, and the cameras would be sealed. They did not arrive in a box; they arrived in plastic packaging from GoFo. The cameras were NOT sealed, as to make it look like I opened them. On November 24th, I was told that I ordered 2 cameras, when I only ordered one. The invoice I had upon submitting payment said 1, and their invoice they sent me and the invoice they have are forged saying I ordered 2. I was charged for both cameras. I forwarded all photos requested for the return, and asked why I couldn’t send the package back without opening it. It was in packaging I could not replicate. I was told it was for protection for both myself and the company. On November 25th, Kelly (who comes up as TopDealsMax), I was told I had to wait 1-3 business days for a decision to be made about the return. I was then asked again on November 29th and December 2nd and today (December 5th) to wait an additional 1-3 business days EACH DAY. The more I questioned, the more my questions got ignored, and the same information was repeated to me. This company goes by “BestDealsBig,” but the email is under customer star, the headline for the email says TopDealsMax, the page for reviewing details of the camera is under “TopPickPro,” and the payment page is BestDealsBig. I have reported a dispute to American Express today, December 5th. The supervisor asked me to “confirm I paid through PayPal.” I did not. I paid with debit. The transaction on my statement only says “Debit Card Purchase.” When clicked on, it only gives a transaction number - but no company name like it should. American Express supervisor Carlos is the one who informed me of it being reported as PayPal, and that’s they cannot trace the company transaction either. On the order page for the camera, American Express is not a payment option listed; however my payment went through. On TrustPilot under the company name “TopDealsMax,” several people have commented that they were scammed too. TrustPilot has no company on it called “BestDealsBig.” When I looked up the address to “BestDealsBig,” it’s based in New York. However, my package originated from China. I have a PDF file of all the proof complied for this claim. I cannot attach it, as it’s over 5MB. Please reach out if you have any more questions. I’ll be happy to answer.
