Description
- On August 5, I saw an advert for a 2010 Malibu ski boat at Craigslist at $16,250 and reached out to get more information. - First reply followed October 13 when I got an email from a person named Rob, and he signed with Rob & Kate. He used the email [email protected] - He referred me to Reed Marine Service which is was (supposed to be) a provider of consignment service. They would take care of the paperwork, shipping etc. He send me a link with to the reedmarineservice.com site with pictures of the specific boat I was interested in. - On Oct 21 I filed my interest as a buyer on the site and received an email confirmation - Around this time I also spoke to a person on a number in Florida. This person explained me the process. - On Oct 22 I made a payment for $16,250. - On Oct 23 I received an email with confirmation payment was received - On Oct 28 I received an email with delivery details - delivery would be Nov 1. - I reached out since Oct 28 first to coordinate the delivery but have not been able to reach anybody and have not been contacted - The 2 phone numbers I have used no longer pick up since and the website has disappeared. - From the website I downloaded a document which is supposed to be a Bill of Sale. This BOS states the owner of the boat was Robert Owens and the Reed Marine Consignment Service Sales Department Managing Director was Andrew Toyham.
