I called back and asked if they could tell me who the creditor was and they said it was Advance Cash, which is the umbrella company and then listed off a lot of high interest loan companies. When they said they needed to verify personal information with me, I didn't want to. Then they said they only needed to verify one piece of information. The date of the supposed debt was from more than 4 years ago. I reviewed my records and I didn't take out any loans on the date they gave. On caller ID, the phone number listed was a local number in my area.
