Description
Saw ad for wuffy (AI pet) on YouTube. Went to their website and ordered one. Was bombarded with special offers which raised a red flag. Googled legitimacy of getwuffy.com and results confirmed it was a scam. Checked BBB, and the exact experience was reported to them on Nov 1. Exact same thing. Tried calling and emailing the customer service number and email they had listed, but the email address was invalid and call took a few with long hold times to get a live person. Sounded like they were sitting in a street somewhere thousands of miles away. Hardly spoke English. Said she is not allowed to cancel the order. Said it would take 1 to 2 hours to email me their return (something: policy, ??, could not understand what she was saying with her garbled broken English). Said there is no supervisor or anyone else at any other number that can cancel the order. I got frustrated and hung up. I’ve reported it to PayPal and am reporting it to BBB now.
