The company sends out an "Annual Renewal Instruction From" for Minnesota Businesses. Although they do state on the form that "C.F.S. is not a government agency...." it is an obvious attempt to make the form seem like it is coming from the government and trick people into giving them $135.00 to perform a service that is ridiculously easy and free in Minnesota. The "C.F.S. is not a government agency...." is in relatively small print mixed in with a large paragraph of Minnesota statutes. The wording and look of the form is obviously an attempt to make it look like an official government document. These people are trying to trick small business owners who want to do the right thing but may not have time to read through all of a documents wording. Although they may file the renewal for a business (I'm not certain if they do or not), they are trying to charge $135.00 for something that is free and easy to do on the state website by misrepresenting themselves.
