Modern Lifestyle Shop ran an ad online for products "You can't do Without". One product, called Fungabeam, once clicked on, took me to another website, claiming to be fungabeam.com. The product was credited to be discovered by a certain doctor, and they claimed it was FDA approved, advertised in well known places like tv stations,and had a 30 day return window. I independently tried to read reviews, which came out very good, with warnings not to buy from Amazon or ebay, etc., but only the true website. Fungabeam.com sounded legit to me, so I ordered it, and paid thru PayPal, $132.35 total. The payment went to Margin Holdings Limited. It took 16 days to arrive, and I was concerned when it came in a box with no Fungabeam logo anywhere, including in the tiny manual. It only stated Nail Cleaning Device, and other specs, and Made in China. The device worked when turned on. I began investigating, and went to the **** AI app, which suggested tests for authenticity, and warnings about unsafe wiring. The product failed them miserably. I called the number from my order email and was told I could only get about $58 refunded because of shipping and restocking fees, or I could keep the unit and receive a $52 refund. I thought I had to agree and they immediately issued the refund to PayPal. I then went to **** again, which advised emailing the company stating the FTC violations and deviance from the true manufacturer specs and features, and advised I would file complaints with the FTC and BBB, and demand for a full refund. The next day the company complied and I received the full refund.
