I was expecting a call back from SSA. Who ask me to call regarding replying to an email on their website. When the phone rang, I answered it thinking it was them. She wanted to confirm that I was the person they were calling. She asked for my place of birth. I gave her information, then she asked for the city. She asked about my Medicare card... Then stated that it was inactive, that is the reason for the call. I could find it & she said she keep hers with her Social Security Card. She inquired about my middle initial; Is it on the card? She asked for the last 4 #s. I replied I don't feel safe doing that. She said only the last 4. I said I don't feel safe even doing that. I call my primary care physician to verify that my card was indeed active...
