I was contacted via email to reach out to this Elliot Kennedy through teams for a job that I had applied for to work from home remotely. They contacted me offering me the position and to have an interview chat on teams. Upon going into the interview chat on the team's website the questions were normal in the beginning and then the guy started asking me questions of personal stuff my address my sex my date of birth etc etc and then started asking me about my banking information to see if it was compatible with their payroll format and platform. When we got to that question I realize that this was a fake job offer a scam. So I stopped responding to the questions and I said I was no longer interested and I blocked this person. Please look into this this is the second time this week that I am approached through email about jobs and offers of employment. I am currently looking for work so I've been applying aggressively on job websites but did not realize that there was so much fake and scammers out there with regard to job offers. I'm going to be more careful moving forward. But I need your agency to look into this because this is not the first time somebody tries to scam me with a fake job offer. I've had those incidents before through linkedin through indeed career builder and ZipRecruiter. I hope that other people do not get tricked like this. The only information they obtain from me is my name address and phone number and a reference which is my daughter and I hope that they don't try to detriment her. This is very scary and very worrisome that an individual is looking for work and people are trying to scam you and steal information from you and banking information supposedly for their payroll setup to pay you but in reality they just want your financial institution information so that they can steal money from you. This is a very scary thing and I hope somebody puts a stop to this or catches these people.
