Description

On October 9, 2025, I received an email from a familiar email, but the name attached to the email did not match the person’s usual contact name. In the email, the contact stated that they were currently working with this organization meals for smiles. The organization was said to be a nonprofit that was looking for procurement managers. The email asked that we send a résumé in our phone number to a Jessica Simpson at [email protected]. My sister sent her email with her resume and phone number. After sending her resume, my sister received an email with position details, then told her to secure her position she would need to complete an onboarding document. Thwhich included the options if Zelle, Apple Pay, or direct deposit). They also asked for a copy of her passport and ID. My sister completed the onboarding document, but forgot to attach a copy of her ID and passport. Dr. Jessica Simpson responded to the email not even mentioning the missing documents and provided interview questions that my sister was instructed to answer and send via email in lieu of a traditional interview. After replying, my sister received an email from Jessica that said she had not received a response and they needed to confirm her interest asap. My sister emailed Jessica right back informing her that she had sent her interview question responses. Shortly afterwards, my sister received an email stating that she would need to complete the last onboarding documents immediately and she would receive a pdf check to buy and ship items to foster homes. They asked my sister if she owned a credit card and what her mobile check deposit limit is. They said they’d deposit $100 into her checking on Friday. We tried to call and the number does not work. Facebook posts have surfaced telling people to only apply to the email on the flyer, but the emails are different on each flyer. We checked their Facebook page and noticed it was created on October 9th when we were initially emailed.
