Description
Received postal mail, titled refund notification from true claim asset partners with a case number of D 5–40 5001, and a total recovery amount of $6846.83. Mandated to respond by 10/31/2025 and call the following number, (888)209-5109. They had a website and a QR code on the back. The website was www.refundscheduler.com, again a repeated the case number the refund status said, forfeiture, pending, repeated the amount, stated the refund to you, which was my parents, the refund source claim to be a Texas based public agency, claimed that they were a serious risk of losing money and or going towards forgotten funds. Claimed that the deadline was approaching, and it was mandated by Texas law. He said it was 100% risk free, and there was no out-of-pocket expense and that they wouldn't owe anything, but that fees are normally received from the refund. It claimed to be professionally, licensed by the state of Texas, and that any recovery documents will be delivered at their expense by a notary public. And again claim to call the number provided immediately. When seeing this postal card, I just knew it was off and all the fonts or different on the back and I looked it up and to my surprise it was reported by someone else as a possible scam.
