I was approached by a man named "Rob" who gave me his pamphlet for Creekside Paving LLC offering to chip seal our driveway for a great deal due to excess material from a previious job. They coated the driveway on October 8th while I was attending to a family emergency. Upon returning home, I immediately received numerous calls for payment. A price was not settled on before hand other than to say "I will work with you." It looked to be around $3,000-4,000 from our initial discussion. The job was completed with numerous bald spots, unfinished spots, loose gravel that caused my neighbor to slip and fall(No injury to him fortunately). I could not find any driveway nearby that was done that would indicate they had 'excess material' to do our driveway at a heavy discount. One neighbor up the street paid them $2,000. I have not paid them and do not intend to pay them for a job that is incomplete and dangerous. I am positive that they have created a situation that will cost us dearly to get fixed. I can not find any information about them online and they only got their CCB license(257810) in September 2025. I believe they may well be a fly-by-night operation that moves around the state or beyond. I have not heard from them in 4 days despite calling them to discuss the situation. Please advise on actions I need to take or if you have heard of others having the same issue as us. We are retired, yet not easily fooled, but I do feel scammed with this project. Many thansk, We appreciate the work you do.
