Description
I contacted a website fritzparrotsfarm.com inquired about buying a Golden Conure bird. He contacted me via WhatsApp and sent pictures of birds he was selling I picked one. When it came to payment he insisted I pay via a gift card (steam, itunes Amazon). I purchased an Apple gift card for 500 and was instructed to send him a picture so he could use it to make the purchase at his store an print a receipt I did so . He drew up a contract for me to sign to turn over ownership of the bird. Then he wanted me to purchase food from his store which came to 350 which he said I had to pay with a gift card as well. I purchased the gift card the same way I did with the first one it was sealed , opened at the register I scratched the code sent him the picture he says the code was already used which was impossible which made me quite suspicious . he kept asking me to still purchase food from him and I refused but ensured he was still sending out the bird being that it was paid for and we signed a contract. Once he shipped it I got an email from the shipping company with tracking info it says the bird was picked up but on hold , now they have a message saying that I would have to pay 1550 for insurance in order to have the birds delivered . Shipping was advertised as free. He then proceeds to tell me that he spoke to the shipping company and they are not delivering the bird without 1550 and if not received they will drop the bird off at a sanctuary and the fees will be much greater. I offered to drive and pick up the bird he told me I need to just cooperate and let them do their job and insisted I pay an additional
