Description
Scammer called victim from 616-229-0481 and purported to be from credit union fraud department, investigating illicit transactions. Obtained debit card number and card PIN. Convinced victim to place debit card in mailbox for bank fraud pick-up, promising replacement card will be dropped off. Offender went to local big box store and conducted two transactions totaling over $1,700 in less than 30 minutes of obtaining debit card.
