I received a letter via USPS, from Clark Michael 444 Alaska Ave, Suite #CHE160, Torrance, Ca. 90503. And unfortunately, I did send an email to the requested address being [email protected]. Within 48 hours, I received a response email requesting that I open three attachments. I DID NOT open the attachments. One appears to be some sort if Identification with photo showing legal status as an attorney. The next appears to be some legal document with French titles, headlines and references. And the third looks like some PDF referencing my name. I suppose it is a personal identification form letter from them. Having not opened these attachments, I began doing a little research of my own, especially for the Torrance, California address. Google does not recognize Clark Michael, Clark Michael Law Office, or the address. The State Bar of California search returned no results. The Marttindale-Hubbell site showed no Clark Michael in California address as well. And the Canadian Bar Association listed neither the attorney or the law firm. I have kept both the letter and return email; and haveing had no further correspondence with them, I now believe this individual and/or firm is a scammer.
