Description

On September 24, 2025, at approximately 5:30 PM, I met a man in the parking lot of PetSmart, 2620 S Campbell Avenue, Springfield, Missouri to purchase a vehicle he advertised on Facebook Marketplace under the alias “Abe Mitchel.” He introduced himself as Marcus, but signed the Michigan vehicle title as Philip Ibrahim (Dealer License #D8881, Visionary Auto LLC, 1152 Elm Street, Morrisville, MO). He communicated with me by phone and text from 417-689-9169, and his Cash App handle is $phil5126. I paid him $3,900 in cash. After taking the money, he acted as though he was grabbing his tags off the car and then physically ran off with the cash before I could receive confirmation about the vehicle’s history. After purchase, I discovered the following fraudulent misrepresentations: • Vehicle VIN 1FMCU9EG9AKC46462 shows 40 hits in insurance records, including a front-end collision and a total loss on 4/25/2025. • The seller told me he had owned the vehicle for 2 years and drove it from Michigan. This was false; he had purchased it at an auction in August 2025. • He misrepresented himself as a private seller and failed to disclose he was a licensed dealer. • The vehicle was cosmetically covered with textured coating and black spray paint to conceal severe frame rust, rusted hubs, suspension, and brake damage. • Multiple shops have inspected the vehicle and confirmed it is unsafe and not roadworthy. They won’t even put on a lift due to severity of rust. • The car shakes severely when driving, the steering wheel visibly vibrates, headlights are misaligned due to the prior front-end collision, and the vehicle pulls dangerously to the left. This was a fraudulent vehicle sale involving concealment of prior total loss, odometer suspicion, misrepresentation of seller identity, and concealment of hazardous mechanical issues.
