Share and help us warn others
I am writing to report a highly deceptive and likely fraudulent job offer I encountered today via an unsolicited text message. My intention is to forewarn others about this cunning scheme. The message, originating from an "Olivia with ShopMy HR," outlined a remote assistant position offering an astonishing $150-$200 daily for just 60-90 minutes of work, four days a week, with no prior experience necessary and "full training" provided. Additional incentives included monthly bonuses, paid time off, and the ability to "work from anywhere, anytime." The offer stressed "limited openings" and directed interested parties (25+) to text their name to 7472060041 for more details. Such an extravagant proposal immediately raised serious concerns. The disproportionate pay for minimal effort, the promise of significant benefits without experience, the manufactured urgency, and the entirely informal communication channel (text-only) are classic indicators of a scam. My subsequent investigation confirmed these suspicions.
