On September 16th, I placed an order with a company named Burn Peak through a posting on Facebook showing Oprah and how she was recommending this product. After a short time, feeling it was a scam, I cancelled it via email and by phone within an hour of placing that order. I called the number twice (323-347-7911) the first time I was told to call back in 20 minutes as the order couldn’t be found. The second time I called is when I was told you couldn’t cancel by phone it had to be at [email protected]. I had already emailed that address….I never heard back from them. I also contacted my credit card company. While I filed a fraud complaint with my credit card company and they took the charges off my card, Burn Peak is trying to charge me again. Today, Saturday September 20th, I received a package from this company. I sent this company another email explaining the process I had taken to cancel this order before it was shipped asking for a return address. I also contacted the company that shipped the products located at 19655 E 35th Drive #100 in Aurora, CO 80011-8113. It is listed as “SO Receiving Location”. The shipping company “ShipOffers” advised they were only the shipper and not the company purchased from. In their long list of complaints, they responded to one stating to contact them for assistance at [email protected] to get contact information for the company purchased from. I have done so but won’t receive a response until they open next week. I have spent days on the internet trying to locate information about BurnPeak and a physical address. Googling the phone number (323-347-7911) I had it comes up as “CrunchBase” in San Francisco, CA. I have tried to file a complaint with the BBB but they have no information on this company. I hope others see this before falling victim as I so clearly did.
