Description
I am starting a small business and need to apply for an EIN. I was able to eventually get to the real IRS website where you can fill out simple questions in under 5 minutes to get an EIN for free, but first this company impersonated the IRS and attempted to charge me for creating and EIN. Fortunately for me this is not my first business so I knew better, but the scammers have duplicated the IRS website almost perfectly and anyone trying this for the first time could easily get scammed. It is also problematic that the scammers are impersonating a government institution.
