I was contacted by email from a company calling itself Spank Fun Inc. about a Health Customer Service Representative position. The message claimed I had previously applied and described the role as fully remote, paying $25 per hour, with responsibilities like answering health inquiries, entering data into HubSpot, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. The email also highlighted the company’s supposed mission of supporting children and adolescents worldwide, which made it sound legitimate. However, I was never offered a job interview. Instead, after completing an online information form and a timed web-based assessment, I received what looked like an official job offer letter. The process skipped all standard hiring steps, which raised major red flags. Fortunately, I did not provide any real personal or financial information. This scam is an example of how fake companies lure job seekers with attractive pay, flexible hours, and professional-sounding job descriptions. A legitimate employer will always conduct interviews and verify information before extending a formal job offer.
