Description
I saw instagram ad and ordered two loofah sponges in June for $22. I did get the sponges, and was happy with their quality. But then on 9/11/2025 was charged 29.99. When I responded it was for a 'subscription' that I signed up for at time of purchase. Although I didn't sign up for any subscription, and no benefit comes with the subscription. When I looked at receipt it 'included' a VIP membership for zero cost. No indication that there would be a future charge. They have responded saying they have cancelled my subscription but are now ghosting me regarding the refund. Have reported to BBB and they say Afroscrub has closed as a business (though I got a response today through Glownetic). I will try to address with my bank but this is a really crappy way to do business when I was hoping to support small business.
