I applied for a position with Hausmann Construction on August 31, 2025. I received an email today, September 4, 2025 stating they had referred me to Jordan Valley Construction Inc and to schedule an interview I needed to download the signal messenger app from the Google Play store. I downloaded the app and added Rebecca Shawn as they asked with the interview ID of 979-422-4556. Once I did that the communication started. It seemed very legit until they asked for who I bank with. I said due to fraud I was not comfortable giving them that info. She responded with we need to verify our payroll system works with your bank. I then searched Jordan Valley Construction and called them. They immediately told me it was fraud and that someone is using their company name. I went back to the chat and said I had reported them as fraud. She immediately disconnected.
