Description
I received the following text message: "Hi (Name), Great News! After reviewing your application on Zip Recruiter/Indeed for the Communication Assistant position, we have decided we want to set up an interview with you at our office location WED. AUG 20 at 8:30 AM. Please reply back to schedule you in. Victoria, HR (281) 809-7517." Then the following was provided when I replied that I wanted to schedule - "Your interview is set for Wednesday Aug 20 8:30 AM at 13003 Justice Ave Baton Rouge, LA 70816. Please ask for Eva at front desk. See you then!" I searched the address and there was no business associated and the building was unmarked. I also double checked and noted that I never applied for a communications assistant position - I had no resume or cover letter to reflect this. I knew it was a scam at this point and after seeing the first BBB review I was convinced. Once I texted back that I would not be attending the interview, I received no response. Job seekers beware!
