After being PLAGUED by ads for bioma probiotics for months on end via multiple different apps on my phone, I talked myself into trying their product. I chose to make a one time payment of around $100 for 3 bottles of their probiotics. At no point in any of the confirmation emails that followed was a subscription mentioned at all. When they arrived, one of the glass bottles had shattered during shipping. I didnt realize this when opening the box, and despite my best efforts to get the glass slivers cleaned up, my child ended up with glass embedded in their foot. I contacted their customer service and was sent a new replacement bottle. I had no intention of doing business with this company any further. Today at the grocery store, my debit card was declined. I thought an unexpected bill may have come out of my account. No, Bioma had taken ANOTHER $100 out of my account. I immediately contacted their customer service (there is no phone number inside the US- only email and a phone number for Austria). Although I was clear that I wanted this order canceled and my money back, I was told that although they could cancel my "subscription" I could not get my money back per their terms and services, which I then re-read. Deeply buried under paragraphs and paragraphs of other information, I learned that not only is subscription mandatory to place any order- even if i had realized sooner, it would have made no difference. Per their terms and services, it is not possible to cancel a subscription until the 2nd payment has gone through. Obviously, had I seen this when I initially read the terms of service, I never would have placed an order. This policy is obviously intentionally placed deep in the middle of pages and pages of product description and distribution guidelines. There was an option to buy the quantity of this product that I am now saddled with against my will- if I had wanted that much I would have ordered that much. I am disgusted with this company.
