Barebackbikes.com (charge shows up as "SP Thomas Jones" on credit card) has an eBay page listing DJI drones for sale. on their eBay page, they advertise a "coupon" if you visit their website. Visiting their website reveals the same drone package available on Ebay only for +/- $200 less than listed on eBay. I ordered a dii mini 4 pro drone from the website. Paid $999.99 via credit card on 8/8/25. received notice of order accepted on 8/8/25. Received notice of USPS label created on 8/8/25. On Tuesday 8/12/25 USPS tracking # still showed "label created, waiting for package". I contacted seller and asked why he hadn't shipped. Seller responded that he was "waiting for payment to clear". This was a lie, payment was made via Visa credit card, and those payments clear instantly. On Tuesday 8/12/25 I told buyer via email he needed to ship product by end of business 8/13/25 or I would be disputing charge on credit card. Buyer responded via email on 8/13/25 stating that "payment had cleared" and product had shipped. As of today, 8/14/25 USPS tracking info has not changed and still shows product as "label created, waiting for package". I attempted to call the contact number listed on the website and received a message that number had been disconnected. As of Today, 8/14 I have initiated a dispute with my credit card company. I strongly suspect this is a scam of some sort. At a minimum, the seller is lying about payment status and product availability. Either way, anyone thinking about using this merchant should look elsewhere and avoid at all costs.
