Description
I received three separate mailings from 1) Corporate Document Service MD, 2) Business Posting Department, and 3) Business Resource Center, shortly after I filed for my Maryland LLC. Each mailing comes from the same Washington, DC address. Each of the three scam letters asks me to fill out a form and send a check for a service that is either free or is offered by the State of Maryland at a small cost. Certificate of Good Standing -- Not necessary, only costs $20 from the state -- Scammer are asking for $148.67 Labor Law Poster -- Only needed if you have employees. Free from the state. -- Scammer are asking for $92.58 Annual Report filing -- Required by the state. Free. -- Scammers are asking for $87.25
