We attempted to buy a purebred Newfoundland puppy off of a website that we even checked to make sure that it was legit. Buyer would only communicate via email, but was able to provide pictures and videos of the puppy we were purchasing. Stated the puppy lived in Arizona, and that they provided shipping for the dog and the Breeder charged $150 plus the $1500 that the shipping company would charge for the crate but it was supposed to be 98% refundable once puppy was delivered to Augusta Georgia. After paying the initial $650 for the puppy and the $1500 for the shipping crate a shipping company contacted us saying that we needed to give them another thousand dollars because the puppy was too big for the shipping crate. Once we told the shipping company that we would not be providing additional thousand dollars, they said that they could not ship the puppy and that we would have to contact the breeder. We contact with the breeder and told them that the shipping company was trying to scam us out of money and then they discontinued all contact. No money was ever refund refunded to us due to the scam.
