Description
On July 10, 2025, I made an online reservation for a room at the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Silver Spring, MD, believing that it was the Holiday Inn website: holidayinnexpress.guestreservations.com. The web page stated that the reservation was with “Free Cancellation before 12:00 AM Oct 25, 2025,” and there was no indication anywhere on the web page that the reservation was non-refundable. The confirmation email from "Guest Reservations" at [email protected] stated that it was non-refundable. I also got a confirmation from [email protected]. I immediately (within 5 minutes) cancelled the reservation online, and I called the hotel to cancel the reservation. I called (866) 913-0695 and spoke to someone from Customer Care who emailed me from [email protected]. Guest Reservations, or whatever company it is that I was dealing with, will not refund my payment. I have reported this to the Federal Trade Commission and the consumer protection agencies of Connecticut (Priceline), Delaware (Guest Reservations), and Maryland (I was given a Maryland number, (301) 245-7476, to give me the false impression that I was going to speak to the Holiday Inn Express hotel in Silver Spring, MD).
