Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

Domain Name services mailed a "solicitation" to obtain access to our business's website registration and charge us a fee of $265.00 to "renew" our registration. Their mailing is purposefully designed to mimic a bill to trick people into sending them money and website access. In small print in the middle of the mailing, they do state "this notice is not a bill," but is is easily missed. This current "solicitation" does not include a method to contact them to remove our contact information from their listings. We've previously received another "solicitation" in January 2025 by the name of "domain listings", which included a do not contact method. We previously sent an email to remove our contact information, but obviously that has not happened. We assume that they are using an ai website dredger to obtain our contact information. Also, their return address leads to a Buffalo UPS store. They must be using the UPS services, mail boxes, as a method to obtain our information and money.
